Few details here, but the prospect of a reasonably-priced, unmolested early R75 was too good not to share.
Seller claims this ’69 was the 300th R75/5 off the line, which would also make this one of the VERY first 100% Berliner BMWs. Prior to ’69, these were at least partially manufactured in Munich, so, it’s still a BMW, but in tis case the B is for Berlin.
When new, these 750cc motors put out about 50hp, and BMW claimed they could hit 110mph. This early model has drum brakes front and rear, and from what little we can see, seems in honest but good shape.
Comes with a 2-up seat, grab rails, and what the seller calls “period luggage.”
Its available in the Santa Barbara area, and the seller is asking $5500
